Some Uglies were even considered to be flying junk, like the Corellian B-Wing for example, which is a B-Wing with a Corellian YT series freighter cockpit attatched to it, another example of a highly ineffective Ugly ship is the TYE-Wing, which mixed together parts of TIE fighters and Y-Wings, the TYE-Wing was one of the most commonly seen Ugly ships through out the galaxy because of its simple design, the ship was also known as Die-wing, because the ship combined only the weaknesses of both TIE fighters and Y-Wings, so flying this thing was pratically suicide, i mean.
The Ugly ships' designs are not necessarily ugly but since they're made out of parts of other vehicles, they tent to be very ineffective compared to already existent ship designs, especially in combat.
So, as you may or may not know, there's a type of ship in Star Wars called Ugly, which are ships made out of parts of all kinds of vehicles attached together, these ships were mostly used by smugglers and pirates or any other group who couldn't afford a normal ship.
